Cold, windy, with a slight drizzle of rain. Not the most ideal circumstance to be celebrating your senior night. However, for the Malden High Golden Tornados boys soccer team, as well as the packed fans in the bleachers, this weather was non-existent. Each senior celebrated their special night laughing, smiling, and persevering despite the weather. Senior night took place on October 14th, against the Lynn Classical Rams. The special class of 2026 seniors includes Adonay Bekele, Renato De Lima Serrão, Yassir Halaissi, Mike Joseph, Matheus Martins, Sandesh Ghimire, Yasser Belatreche, Omar Chouiki, Ahmed Moukara, Jamesly Saint Jean, Dawit Adefris, and Sebastian Zapata Marin. Malden ended up winning the match thanks to an early goal by captain Yasser Bela and a hard-fighting defense that kept the rest of the game a shutout. It was a great night for all watching and all playing, as Malden brought an unwavering, exciting energy.
