MHS Students Attend Construction Career Day

Article submitted by Mike Torosian
On May 1, 2014, High School students from Eastern Mass came out to New England Laborers Training Academy to attend Construction Career Day, a day in which high school students can get a hands-on feel to run a bulldozer, crane and backhoe to building a toolbox, weld and cut steel.
The Ashland Fire Deptartment was on hand to demonstrate Vehicle Extrication and letting the students run the Jaws of Life. Malden High Students stopped by to find that the firefighter doing the demo was Mike Torosian, a 1984 graduate of Malden High School. The students were thrilled and spent a half hour asking questions about what it was like in school back then.
