One of the youngest and most improved players on the boys volleyball team, sophomore Manuel Quesada Nylen, is back at it again with his second season and ready to win. Quesada Nylen was never the biggest volleyball fan, but slowly developed a passion for the sport.

Since the team’s very first season last year, many improvements have been made with time and practice. Quesada Nylen explained, “Now [he gets] playing time, [he makes] less mistakes than [he] used to, and [he makes] smarter plays.”

Quesada Nylen mentioned that his favorite memory has to be from last season on the bus rides where “[the team] would talk about volleyball, of course, learn more about the sport, listen to music, and exceed the definition of a team.” Quesada Nylen has a great admiration and love for the team as if it they were his family.

This season Quesada Nylen is looking forward to upcoming games and more time spent with his teammates. Quesada Nylen takes the sport seriously and is looking to make this an unforgettable season. Best of luck to the boys volleyball team in the remainder of their season.
