Malden High’s Gymnastics team has begun its 2021-2022 season. Gymnasts, both new and returning, are all excited for this season.

Senior Nathan Weng, who first joined the team in his freshman year, said that “it feels great to be back, gymnastics is a sport I’ve always looked forward to after school.” Weng also believes that as the season progresses, there will be more and more growth in the gymnasts’ performance.

He added that, “my goals are to be better than my previous years as well as make the most of my senior year in high school and last year of high school gymnastics.”

However, one thing that worries Weng is the threat of COVID since there has been a spike in COVID cases recently, and having to go through lockdown again.

Overall, the team is committed to doing their best and Weng’s “goals are to be better than my previous years as well as make the most of my senior year in high school and last year of high school. gymnastics.”
