During Joy block on May 26th, MHS raised the Pride Flag that now stands proudly outside of the school. At the ceremony Principal Christopher Mastrangelo was the first to speak, stating that members of the LGBTQ+ community are supported and accepted at Malden High. The next to speak was Lumi Leshane, a member of the Rainbow Lions Club.

Ace Showstead is a freshman at Malden High School. He was originally born in Everett, MA but then moved to Georgia and stayed there for a couple of years until he moved to Malden. He is on the JV field hockey team and when he is not on the field he enjoys singing and hanging out with friends. His biggest inspiration is Adam Lambert because his music and fashion sense is immaculate and he is a confident character. His favorite music is Twenty One Pilots, specifically Trapdoor and Message Man. He also enjoys listening to Conan Gray. Showstead chose to join journalism because he likes writing and he has heard positive reviews about the class. Other than journalism, his favorite classes are English and Mixed Chorus.
