Malden Triumph Lynn Classical in an Upset Win

On a rainy Wednesday night at Fraser Field, Malden played a strong game leading to an upset win against Lynn Classical. Malden had led this close game with 2 runs leaving the final score 8-6. This was Malden’s first win at Fraser since before the pandemic.

Shuyi Chen (she/her) is a first-year reporter at The Blue and Gold. Originally from Guangdong, China, she moved to Boston at a young age and settled in Malden during second grade. Shuyi enjoys watching movies, dining out with friends, and playing volleyball for Malden High’s varsity team. As of last year, she became a part of our varsity softball team as an outfielder. Engaged in various clubs such as the Shrub Club, Key Club, and Y-Leaders, she also holds the role as one of the Class of 2024 Social Media Coordinators.
