From baguettes to fish and chips, The Tornado Travelers Club takes a trip overseas to London and Paris during April vacation. The club emerged on a 10 day long trip with chaperons Yaharia Marquez, Paul Degenkolb, Shannon Alexis, and a group of 20 students mixed between juniors and seniors. On April 18 they set flight to their connecting flight to Iceland before landing in their first destination of London, England.
The First day of the trip consisted of mostly travels, with the group boarding their flight in the depths of the night at 11 pm EST, arriving in Iceland at 8:35 am GMT. For many the time change was a big jump leaving a lot of the group drowsy. After a short rest at Iceland Air, the group regrouped and boarded their plane to London. Finally, after a long travel day, the group arrived in London at 2:40 pm GMT+1.
Once settled, the group set out to explore central London making their first stop at Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain, to meet up with their co-group, a group of other teens from California. Following this, the next stop was the first dinner of the trip. They headed to Mother Mash, a pie restaurant, where students were served Mince Pie, with a complimentary dessert of cake covered with pudding. Then students boarded the travel bus to head back to the hotel and rest up for the jam-packed days they had ahead of them.
