Class of 2025 Sweetens the Day with Spooky Treats

On the rainy cold afternoon of Wednesday, October 25th, students gathered in the main entrance as the Class of 2025 kindly handed them their spooky treats. From the many options such as mummy brownies, spooky sugar cookies, chilling cupcakes, and more, the bake sale seemed to be a success as students crowded around the table. Treats ranged from two to three dollars, as the majority of the items cost two dollars, with the s’mores and cupcakes being the only three-dollar items.

Secretary Sarah Pham mentioned the Class of 2025’s excitement to save for the much-beloved prom. She mentioned, “We were planning on doing merch and then setting up a deposit for our prom venue.” As prom approaches soon for the juniors, it is vital that the class starts to save money, and the bake sale was the start of a year of major savings for the class.

The idea for the sale came from the class having to settle as their other plans for fundraisers had conflicts. “We were planning on doing some kind of bake sale already, and we were going to do a movie night, but it was taken by another club,” Pham explained. Despite this, the class still managed to put together a well-organized sale, which was popular with students at MHS.

As their first bake sale of the year, the Class of 2025 continues to thrive as they save for future events.
