The new Advisor for the class of 2027, Dr. Charles Redmond brings experience and a deep commitment to secondary education. Having spent a year teaching at a private middle school, he has honored his skills in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

With 15 years of residency in the area, Dr. Redmond is not only familiar with the community but also passionate about contributing to it. He appreciates the strong relationships he has built with both students and faculty, making him a perfect fit for this role as the class of 2027 advisor.

Dr. Redmond engages with his students on a personal level, creating an environment where students feel comfortable sharing their challenges and aspirations. His enthusiasm for literature and language is infectious, as his students love to be in his class.

In addition to advising the class of 2027, Redmond teaches five courses: English Language Arts: one 12th-grade course, three 9th-grade CP courses, and one 9th-grade honors course. “I get to see the kids on the way out and the kids who are just coming in, which I enjoy,” Redmond explained.

“When we had a meeting last week, the kids who were interested seemed very driven so I’m very hopeful that it’ll be good… I enjoy working with students who really just want to be high school students, and who are not in a hurry to grow up,” Dr. Redmond said.
If you are interested in joining the Class of 2027 student council, reach out to Dr. Redmond at credmond@maldenps.org or visit his room in H414.
