Gossip Girl is an American teen drama series, starring Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, Ed Westwick, Kelly Rutherford, Matthew Settle, Jessica Szohr, and Kaylee DeFer. There are a total of 4 seasons. This show debuted on September 19. 2007 and the last episode aired on December 17, 2012. The success of Gossip Girl led to adaptations outside the United States; the show has received numerous award nominations, and it won 18 Teen Choice Awards.

The series includes various of intense, intriguing, and hectic teen Upper East Side drama. This drama revolves around a group of friends at Constance, who stir up trouble, drama, and hide secrets, not just with each other but to people around them as well. Although their secrets don’t stay secrets for long, because Gossip Girl follows their every move. Gossip Girl is an anonymous gossip blogger that somehow knows everything and everybody’s secrets.

This group of friend’s are the center of attention of Constance, and the center of Gossip Girl’s blog: Serena Vanderwoodsen, Blair Waldorf, Nate Archibald, Chuck Bass and outsider, Dan Humphrey (who received a scholarship to Constance). Serena Vanderwoodsen is Upper East Side “it” girl. Blair Waldorf is the “Queen-Bee” of Constance. Nate Archibald is the “golden boy” and Chuck Bass is the “bad boy”.

It starts of with the return of Serena Vanderwoodsen after running away from her problems. Her return has everyone talking, along with that, not everyone is happy or welcoming her with open arms. Blair Waldorf, once her best-friend, got in a feud with Serena after her return because of the secret she was hiding. This feud stirs up a lot of trouble.

Overall I think this show is remarkable. It’s filled with fun and breathtaking drama, which I love. I love how this show gets me to the edge of my seat every time something happens, which is very often. This show gets me jumping up and down every time a couple I like gets together. (Major Spoiler Alert) It has me in tears every time Chuck and Blair break up and especially when Nate and Serena broke up. Personally I think Serena and Nate are soulmates, and Serena and Dan are not compatible for each other because Dan is just not right for her, meanwhile Nate has always been there for her and supported her. Nate has been there for Serena since they were little children. Even when Serena cheated on Dan, he loved her enough to forgive her. In my personally opinion, I think that Dan doesn’t seem to love Serena as much as Nate does. Dan Humphrey throws away everything away to get together with Serena’s arch nemesis, also known as the person that made Serena go under the influence of drugs and alcohol, to expose his “friends”. Additionally, Dan continuously caused Serena trouble and heartbreak, and yet Serena still chased after him.
