In memorial of the 105 Malden Public School staff members who received a non-renewal letter from the city last week, the Malden Education Association held a community vigil. They left 105 candles outside of the Department of Education on 110 Pleasant Street, each candle representing one “educational relationship lost in a dark time.” During the event, multiple community members gave speeches regarding the situation, including Seniors Armani Dure and Juliana Davidson, as well as the President of the Teacher’s Union Deborah Gesualdo.

  • “We are here with you and for you, as you have always been for us.” Senior Juliana Davidson giving a speech.
