Joana Vassao

Joana Tavares Vassao is a freshman at Malden High School, taking the Introduction to Journalism elective class. One of her favorite subjects to learn at school is history. Originally, she lived in Brazil, but at the young age of nine, she came to the United States. One of Joana’s hobbies is watching movies; movies from her Brazilian culture bring her a sense of comfort. Joana’s biggest dream is to graduate from college and pursue a career of becoming a lawyer. A fun fact about her is that she speaks four languages: Portuguese, English, Italian, and Spanish.
