The Girls’ Tennis team went undefeated in the Greater Boston League (GBL) and are back-to-back GBL champions again under the leadership of senior captain Adriana Velasco, Yuki Yang, and junior captain Chloe Chen.

In a matchup against their last league opponent, Lynn English, on May 17th, they sealed their quest for the GBL title with a win.

Coach Cheryl Camassa described it as a “great accomplishment for our team and program.”

In the last two seasons, the girls have been dominant, having been undefeated against all their league opponents.

Camassa cited hard work and dedication to the overall team’s success. After concluding their away games, the players would return to Amerige Court to practice more.

Furthermore, the team has qualified for the state tournament for the second straight year. Camassa stated the team plans to “schedule a few organized practices” to prepare against their first-round opponent.

She further commented that their goal is to “play hard” like they had all year and to “have fun.”

Overall, they ended their season with great success. It is not easy to win championships, especially back-to-back, but the team has done it again. With the season done, they are now looking forward to the State Tournament.
