Local:

  • On Wednesday, September 30, Juniors will be betting their chromebooks in the rollout at 12:45, all other students will be dismissed at that time.
  • On Monday, September 28, Mayor Gary Christenson is holding a Safety Awareness Meeting from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Malden Teen Enrichment Center
  • There is Movie Night at the Malden Public Library on September 30 at 6:00. There will be a thriller sci-fi movie loosely based on a book.
  • Congratulations to the newly elected Class Of 2017 Officers

  • Junior Varieties Coordinator— Nick Acuna

Junior Julia Parker has been writing for the Blue and Gold since freshman year. As she transition from reporter to a Head of Local, Parker takes on more responsibility. Parker looks to major in English communications and minor in journalism in the future which makes it no surprise that her favorite class is English. Aside from academics, Parker is involved in volleyball and softball as exercising or playing sports is her favorite past time. She enjoys sci-fi shows along with books genres relating to anything young adult.
