The season of fall signifies the change in the color of leaves but more importantly the start of the college application process. Students often turn to the Common Application to apply to schools which some criticize as “unimaginative” as mentioned in “The Big New Effort to Revamp College Admissions- Will it Work?The Common Application is also known to have technical difficulties, but in January the new Coalition for Access Affordability, and Success has a “new free joint application website and online college planning portal” scheduled to launch. The site has the intentions of “help[ing] students collaborate with counselors and build a rich portfolio of work throughout high school.” Next summer the site will have the college application set up.
